Funding Deadline: At least two weeks prior to event (Up to $500)
All 2017 themed learning community (TLC) instructional teams are invited to submit requests for themed learning communities activity funds, which support in-class or out-of-class activities that extend themed learning community coursework, promote experiential learning opportunities, and deepen the connection to the theme. Teams are encouraged to allow opportunities to arise as the semester progresses and to take advantage of TLC activity funds to provide learning experiences responsive to student learning.
Expenses related to the TLC activity fund will be processed through University College in accordance with its policies. Requests are due no later than two weeks prior to the proposed activity. The Themed Learning Communities office can provide logistical support for activities.
Requests will be reviewed on a weekly basis. Teams will be notified within a week of submitting a request if they will receive funding. If you are unable to submit a request at least two weeks in advance, please contact Jennifer Swain directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
NOTE: This TLC activity fund is not to purchase classroom food or refreshments, but to engage students in learning experiences related to the theme.
